The Amy Morse Public Policy Prize is awarded annually to an outstanding Business and Public Policy (BPUB) graduate student for excellence in scholarship, research and professional development. The award is made in memory of Amy Morse, a BPUB graduate student from 1984 to 1986, and is designed to enhance the professional development of the department's Ph.D. students during their second year in the program.

The Award: The prize will be awarded to one student annually and will consist of two parts:

A one-year membership in APPAM and subscription to its journal.

Sponsored participation in the APPAM Research Conference (covering registration, economy travel, and reasonable per diem.)

Eligibility: Second year doctoral students who have completed their first year of study in the BPUB program and are in residence at the University are eligible for the award. The award will be based on accomplishments of the first year and awarded at the beginning of the second.

Selection: A faculty committee will solicit two or three nominees for each BPUB Faculty and Graduate Program Committee member in April of each year. The nominees will be chosen from the first year class. After all of the first year academic records are in, the Committee will recommend a recipient.
